As Music Director and Co-founder I invite you to share in the tremendous joy that is the Elgin Children's Chorus. Through a near quarter century I have been blessed to see literally thousands of area youth experience the gravity of life-changing musical events.
We are not in search of superstars. We don't exclude the average. We invite all those desiring to accomplish marvelous things through the unified focus of ensembles that have fun working hard. We strive to reveal every voice through one song!
Included among many ancillary benefits to membership are the following: we prepare concerts of excellence, advance self discipline, encourage self esteem, instill confidence, generate a motivation to succeed, and increase skills in critical thinking, listening, and creativity. Fundamentally though, we lead young people to encounter musical events that, when accumulated, afford them the opportunity to grow into the people they are capable of becoming. We teach life through song.
